In order to reactivate the Acoustic Shell of the Agua Azul Park, one of the most important musical venues in the city, Guadalajara will hold the second edition of the gastronomic and musical festival Conchachelawhich this year will include the presentation of the Mexican rock group Caifanes.
The Friday June 23 from 2:00 p.m.in the Agua Azul Park, with a sample of craft beer and a variety of gastronomic options to enjoy with the family.
“From last year’s Conchachela, the Acoustic Shell has come, little by little, to generate more activities, more festivals; That is precisely what we wanted, that this iconic space, so important for the music of the city, would be reactivated again ”, he commented Alfredo Aceves FernándezGeneral Coordinator of Economic Development of the Government of Guadalajara.
“Imagine listening to ‘The Exploding Cell’, ‘Wind’, ‘Before They Forget Us’, ‘Kill Me Because I’m Dying’. This year the Concha Acústica, the Conchachela in its second edition comes Caifanes. Because? Because we want this to be an asset of the city, an asset of the people of Guadalajara”, added the Coordinator.
It was explained through a statement that the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry will participate. (CANIRAC) and there will be stands selling wings, for example, among other options.
Each space of food will organize different dynamics, craft beer will be offered, there will be DJ music during the dayas well as a play area for the enjoyment of girls and boys, and UMO and La Vida Mía will be invited as artists in the musical part.
“We want this event to be familiar, to be the same as last year, an event where all the people from Guadalajara, including children, can enjoy it in a very fun way,” said Alfredo Aceves.
How to get free tickets?
Starting next Monday, June 5, people from Guadalajara will be able to obtain a ticket for the Caifanes concert by donating a toy in some three DIF Guadalajara locationsat a time of 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

“Recognizing the generosity of all the people from Guadalajara, that they help us with a toy (…) to give it to those children who, unfortunately, do not have the opportunity to receive gifts at Christmas time, and that will be delivered to through the DIF”, explained Aceves Fernández.
Regarding the dynamics of ticket exchange, a maximum of two per person will be delivered (one toy corresponds to one ticket). A total ticketing for 10 thousand people is contemplated. Support is also requested so that they are resistant toys, not warlike, that do not require batteries, not marbles, or plastic balls and sports options, to promote exercise among girls and boys.
“This entire event is being organized by the Government of Guadalajara, but we must also talk about the other organizers who are supporting us in this event such as Guanamor Music, Cervecería Minerva and Megacable. Most of these tickets will be delivered through the DIF, but there will be some dynamics in some radio stations.at Cervecería Minerva, through Guanamor Music, there will be some activations for the delivery of the same”, added Alfredo Aceves.
“(We want) to invite the people of Guadalajara and the people of Guadalajara to come to the Concha Acústica on June 23 to celebrate the city with Caifanes, to listen to great music, to eat wings, to drink Minerva craft beer, to have a good time luxury with your girlfriend, boyfriend, your parents, families, your children; have a good time as we Guadalajara know how to have a good time ”, he concluded.

To maintain the peace of mind of those attending the Conchachela Festival, a device made up of Guadalajara police officers and private security will be deployed.
Dependencies such as Public Services, Medical Services, Civil Protection and Firefighters, Tourism, Register and Licenses, Mobility and Transportation, Inspection and Surveillance, Environment, DIF Guadalajara, Economic Development and the Metropolitan Agency for Urban Forests (AMBU) will also participate.

The Acoustic Shell
The Acoustic Shell of the Agua Azul Park, an architectural work of Alejandro Zohn, was built between the years 1946 and 1952 and inaugurated in 1959.
In the 1960s it was a pedestal for the Guadalajara rock movement and housed the shows of the October Fiestas until 1984; and it has also been the stage for international bands such as Los Blue Boys, Los Tramps, Los Tempest, Blue Jeans, Los Hunos, 39.4, La Secta Soul Band and Soda Stereo.
