Trust has been a principle of the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce (Canaco) throughout its history.
During the celebration of the 135th anniversary of the organization, that took place yesterday at the Cabañas Cultural Institute, the head of the Canaco, Raúl Uranga Lamadrid, highlighted this value as the engine of economic and social growth in Jalisco.
“On this anniversary I want to thank the members of the Chamber, the authorities, other friendly institutions, the unions and the universities for their trust,” commented.
During the event, the businessman Carlos Álvarez Bermejillo was recognized. SPECIAL
During his speech, Uranga Lamadrid highlighted that the institution has known how to face challenges, adapt to the times since its foundation and collaborated in historical moments with a spirit of solidarity and trust.
“We have proven it through our history: when we are together we always respond with success and the union has been based on trust in the other. When there has been trust in Jalisco, Jalisco has advanced economically and socially. There are no simple or complex formulas or remedies that will work without trust,” he said.
In the celebration, institutional awards and medals were given to various personalities and institutions. For example, Carlos Álvarez Bermejillo, executive president of Laboratorios PiSA, received the Mercury Business Award. In addition, the Guadalajara Fire Department obtained the Medal of Honor.
