Bugiardini, the project of the TRG Foundation and Koelliker Hospital

TRG Foundation and Koelliker Hospital bring health to the stage with a series of meetings in neighborhood homes

Talking about health with wit, irony and comedy. Do it in the squares, in the neighborhood aggregation logos, among the people. To bring the public, and in particular the most fragile elements of society, closer to important issues such as movement and nutrition. This is the idea behind Bugiardini, a project by the TRG Foundation and Koelliker Hospital, included in the rich calendar of appointments of Culture behind the corner, a program – from an idea of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation in collaboration with the City of Turin – of over 120 cultural activities spread across the districts of the city which brings culture a short distance from home, creating new opportunities for relationships, sharing, aggregation and participation.

Bugiardini is a cycle of free meetings which, until 3 October, brings health into the homes of the neighborhood, into the libraries and bookshops of Turin, making it simple and fun, within everyone’s reach.

The protagonists of Bugiardini are the Turin actress Giorgia Goldini of the TRG Foundation, the doctors of the Koelliker Hospital – physiatrists, gastroenterologists, nurses, physiotherapists, orthopedists, infectious disease specialists – and, of course, the public. In every meeting, as in the best traditions of improvisational theatre, we know what we are talking about but not how we will do it. Giorgia guides, the doctor replies, the public participates, reacts, intervenes… And between one laugh and another, it is possible to deal lightly with issues that are very important for everyone.

With Bugiardini, from the first appointments we realized how the theater allows spectators to intrigue and feel free to express their doubts and questions”.
