The legendary actor Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Malcolm) is ready to leave his film career.
In a recent interview with GQ, Bryan Cranston confirmed that he has retirement plans for the year 2026 (when he will turn 70). Since from that date he will not assume any more roles, he will not read any more scripts and he will completely leave his participation in entertainment. In fact, he will close his production company, since he intends to live far from Hollywood.
“I want to change the paradigm once again. For the past 24 years, Robin has led her life by holding on to my tail. She has been the most, she has been the wife of a celebrity. She has had to pivot and adjust her life based on mine. She has tremendous benefit from that, but we’re uneven. I want to level that. She deserves it”. She started by saying Bryan Cranston.
“I want to travel around Europe, probably somewhere in France, and spend a good part of the time living a much less hectic lifestyle. I have plans to learn a new language, learn to cook different things and start my own garden, have all those experiences. I want to go on day trips and have a fire in the fireplace and drink wine with new friends and not read scripts. It’s not going to be like: Oh, I’ll read and see what I’m going to do. No, it’s a pause. It’s a stop. I’m not going to think about work. I will not receive phone calls.” Bryan Cranston concluded.

Luckily, he still has a few projects.
We will be able to see Bryan Cranston in Argylle, Matthew Vaughn’s spy movie that has a great cast led by Henry Cavill, John Cena, Bryce Dallas Howard, Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell and Dua Lipa. Additionally, he will also star in Everything’s Going to Be Great where a family begins to move from state to state, performing in regional theater as they have to deal with loss and struggle, where their dreams would not necessarily come true. He will also be doing the adaptation of the Norwegian film Jackpot, which is about 4 young men who win a big lottery prize and when they try to split it up, things turn bloody.
Without forgetting that Bryan Cranston could say goodbye to acting with an additional season or a movie about the Malcolm series. Where he played the father of a very particular family.
