Returning Characters to appear as “loot specialists” in the Dragonflight expansion, added in an early 2023 patch.
Goblins who have a specific mission, which is to drop treasures if they are defeated, but only if players manage to catch them before they escape through a magical portal and who were members of the procurement department of Venture Co., a trading cartel of goblins that has been used to parody corporate malpractice since the early days of World of Warcraft. By his account, he gave these leprechauns lines like “Another record quarter of revenue!” and “No profit sharing!” or “Looks like there will be another yacht for me!”, so he thinks he was fired, “because someone saw this innocuous prank as inappropriate.”
“They made sure to rush in and fire me before the end of the month, knowing full well that the benefits would expire the next day,” Covington alleges.
In closing, the developer said that he “would have been willing and understandably helpful” to replace any line causing the problem if asked, but was not given the opportunity. “In my email correspondence after the firing,” adding that: “I asked them to reconsider their actions in light of a whole list of evidence I provided, including the fact that the content should have been reviewed and approved to appear on the social media account and no problem was found.”
