If anyone was a fan of Featherweight’s Music Sessions 55, it was Bizarrap himself, the Argentine DJ and producer put an end to the controversy that arose around his most recent collaboration.
Gonzalo Julián Conde, Bizarrap’s real name, defended his session with the interpreter of corridos lying down, Featherweight, who is also considered one of the best artists today, according to Spotify.
“I love corridos, and Featherweight, he didn’t need to rap about trap to break it,” he said. In fact, on his Instagram he had already shared how much he liked this collaboration.
On his YouTube channel, the streamer known as CYPHER recorded himself reacting to the collaboration of Featherweight and Bizarrap, to give his opinion on the lying down corridos and the change of pace that, in his opinion, was a success by the Argentine producer.
The Spanish streamer classified the Bizarrap sessions according to the audience; He indicated that there are cliches, such as Shakira’s and those that allow Bizarrap to experiment and stage new music.
“There are the cliché sessions that everyone wants, and in the end Bizarrap always comes out with something else, that he does not stop looking for virality. He does not stop looking for virality because obviously Featherweight what he has right now is virality”, CYPHER commented.
In the video, which has more than 114,000 views, the streamer also commented on the lying down corridos, their meaning, and the musical instruments behind these pieces.
Although he stressed that he has heard the most famous songs by Peso Pluma and Natanael Cano, main exponents of this subgenre of regional Mexican music.
In a comment he left on the CYPHER video, Gonzalo Julián Conde put an end to the controversy and said what he was looking for with session 55. The producer clarified that the most important thing for him was to give space to Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija and his band to that they put their touch to the collaboration.
“I made the composition with VST, all digital. Once we finished the composition, Peso’s band recorded all the real instruments. This was because I wanted to give him the space of his bzrp session so that he could continue taking the corridos to different audiences. I love corridos and Featherweight, he didn’t need to rap about trap to break it,” she wrote.
In its first day on the platform, BZRP and Featherweight’s “Music Sessions 55” has more than 23 million views.
