Motor: the engine shares the displacement and little more with the enduro bike, being a project entirely dedicated to cross use. Compared to the enduro one, it is decidedly more performing at medium-high rotation speeds, the ones most exploited on the track, and has a higher reach, while maintaining excellent torque. The main details that characterize RX 300 2T, compared to the close relatives RR 2T are the following:
Cylinder: the cylinder changes compared to the 300 enduro version, which has recently adopted the “Superquadro”, in favor of a more classic “Quadro” with Bore x Stroke of 72.0 x 72.0 mm, in order to obtain greater torque and power (approximately 5 hp at 8,000 rpm and 1.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm).
Piston: in combination with the different cylinder diagrams, the higher compression ratio and the different dimensions obtained, a new suitable two-ring piston was identified.
Carburetor: Keihin PWK da 38mm
Dedicated candle: NGK BR8ECM – Crankshaft: this component has been lightened and its diameter reduced, to seek faster acceleration towards high revs. It follows the introduction of a dedicated casing where this component is housed.
Exhaust valve: the valve was suitably set in its opening, in relation to the different functioning of the engine and its use. In any case, this remains customizable by the rider using the canonical register, with which the Enduro Beta models are also equipped.
Short silencer: to favor performance at medium-high revs.
Cup spring clutch: the clutch used on the RX arises from a re-adaptation of the component recently introduced on the RR, and guarantees a soft operating command, an effective engagement and a very high transmissible torque. The clutch can be adjusted in its spring preload on 3 positions, acting on the ring nut through a simple mechanical intervention.
Cooling pipes: high-performance, blue silicone.
Suspensions: fork and shock absorber are Kayaba, like on the RR Racing. Both components have their own settings dedicated to cross use but, while the single shock absorber with specific calibration maintains a greater familiarity with that of enduro bikes, the 48mm fork also has a different geometry, with a greater stroke (stems longer than 10mm). The fully adjustable suspensions were set by the Rignano technicians in such a way as to make the bike stable, fast and precise, but always easy and sincere in its response. The frame does not show any changes compared to the RR 300 enduro model, but the bike is taller due to the different suspensions, while the rear frame is made of composite material.
The wheels they are 21″ at the front and 19″ at the rear, with Michelin Starcross 6 tyres, in sizes 80/100-21 and 120/80-19.
Braking system Nissin with floating calipers and 260mm front and 240mm rear discs.
To complete the model features: the handlebar controls are reduced to the bare minimum. On the right side there is the button for the electronic ignition, on the left side the button for turning off the bike. The electrical system is reduced to a minimum. Finally, the battery is lithium. Like what was recently introduced on the 2-stroke models of Rignano sull’Arno, too RX 300 can take advantage of two engine maps (dry/wet), selectable via the button located behind the steering head, that manage the power of the bike in a dedicated way, in order to make it always enjoyable in all conditions. We also highlight some special components that enrich the bike’s equipment:
Chain tensioner in red ergal
You look for Excel anodized blue
Eye red chain
Corona red anodized bi-material
platforms footrest in black ergal with steel pin
Handguards
Complete the picture a new one new graphic design, which uses the typical colors of the Racing models, to characterize a unique model in the Beta catalogue. RX 300 will be delivered with a stand supplied, for parking the motorcycle.
