The striker born in 2005 will return to Milan because, with Correa still knocked out and with Inzaghi making a turnover in view of the Champions League final, he would be useful against Turin. But given the tiredness and the long journey, it is unlikely that the Argentine will be a starter
Argentina’s elimination from the Under 20 World Cup at the hands of Nigeria could allow Inter to have Valentin Carboni back. Inzaghi gave him little space this year, but the talent born in 2005 on Saturday at the Grande Torino stadium would have been useful. Or maybe it’s better to say, it could be convenient. It remains to be seen if after last night’s knockout he will return in time and above all in what physical conditions given the transoceanic journey. Against Juric’s grenades, Inzaghi won’t have Correa, who is still struggling with a problem in his calf, and has no intention of risking Lautaro, because the Champions League final is on Saturday the 10th. The Nerazzurri coach’s idea is to save even one of Lukaku and Dzeko, or to let them play one half each. For this to happen, another striker is needed: it could be Curatolo, who is training with the first team and therefore has more chances, or, if he returns in time and isn’t too tired, Carboni. Since yesterday evening, Inter also have this possibility. We’ll see if he takes advantage of it.
