Here we have one of the big reasons why Anthem was not what we expected.
The different playable classes that were at our disposal.

Anthem came to our consoles a few years ago and there is no denying that people had high expectations with this installment. The idea was good and the potential it offered us was vast, however, things did not turn out as they should have. Some bugs, an overly basic endgame and the disappearance of support from the developer made this title fall into oblivion.
Now we know the reason for its bad output, and it is that as usual, AAA games usually take between approximately three or five years for its development to be complete. However, Anthem was released after less than a year and a half in development.; a really low time for a game of these characteristics. Even Bioware was working on a major makeover of the title.
Anthem could have been… But it was left halfway
The company in charge of this game was Bioware, the developer already It has accustomed us to great releases such as Mass Effect or Dragon Age among many others. So you already know how to make a delivery of this caliber, but apparently, Anthem did not have that time. We know all this thanks to a former Bioware employee, Ian Saterdale posted this information on his official Twitter account thus beginning a great avalanche of questions.
I learned a lot on this project. We knew it wasn’t ready, as this game was literally created in 15 months. Which is unheard of for a game that scope. Anthem 2 would have been great! https://t.co/HHK29rpVbr pic.twitter.com/JJkpUf9DqX

I’m going to be honest with you, I personally didn’t find Anthem too bad, it had fun gameplay and you could spend your time exploring thanks to its mobility. But yes, For a while it was fine, then the shortcomings it offered began to be seen, especially at the playable level and at the content level. However, I am one of those people who had fun with their cooperative mode, I will never deny it. In fact, EA considered the future with Anthem Next, but it didn’t quite materialize either.
In addition to development time and confirming that Anthem wasn’t ready, Ian has also dropped that Anthem 2 would have been a real wonder. I believe that with optimal development time we would be facing a franchise that would be capable of entertaining people for years with several deliveries. As we mentioned at the beginning, the idea was very good and the game had potential.
It’s rare to see a company of the caliber of Bioware not say they delayed the game due to that development time. We are aware of everything it has offered us and especially knowing that we were facing a new IP, the deal should have been more controlled. A real shame, because I would have liked to see more of the universe that they wanted to offer us.
