A serious accident occurred this afternoon at the intersection of the Singel with the Binnensingel in Deventer. The scooter driver was seriously injured. The scooter driver collided with a car. A trauma helicopter was also called, but the victim was taken to hospital by ambulance. The driver of the car has been detained for questioning. This is standard in serious accidents. It is not known what caused the accident. That is being investigated. The intersection is closed.
