The new Phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have not been as successful as expected, but they have made clear the enormous importance of a character who has given much to talk about since his appearance in Avengers: The Age of Ultron: The Scarlet Witch. Played by Elizabeth Olsen, one of the studio’s most powerful heroines became a favorite of many after she passed through Wandavisionalthough it seems that his future in Marvel is not entirely clear after the events of the sequel to Doctor Strange.
And although he has loved playing Wanda Maximoff Since 2015, Olsen has wanted to give advice to all the actors and actresses who are going to participate in the MCU in the near future. Through the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Californian actress has suggested not signing more than one movie for Marvel Studios.
“Give them just one (film). You’ll have more control. If you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ve had the most fun ever, I love this character, I want to do it again,’ now you’ll have more creative control for the next movie.”
Olsen made his debut as Wanda in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier post-credits scene almost a decade ago and since then has starred in six more MCU projects, so he knows what he’s talking about. It is true that he is part of something as big as he is Marvel Studios It’s always a real blessing, but it’s also true that if you sign on for long-term projects you may not be able to have more power over your character.
As for Olsen’s future within the MCU, it is not yet clear if he will return after the events that occurred in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. However, the actress has reiterated that she would love to return as the Scarlet Witch, so right now it’s Marvel’s decision whether or not to add her to future projects in the franchise.
