Soulframe Liang, founder and CEO of the developer S-Game, explained that Phantom Blade Zero’s combat will not be soulslike, but hack ‘n’slash, apart from the fact that it will have kung-fu (kungfupunk), dark fantasy and RPG details. .

Phantom Blade Zero will have a long duration, multiplayer and a robust endgame
The studio made it clear that all combat scenes are “real” and captured in-game. However, he explained that he used a more cinematographic camera or angle and that the final game will have a broader perspective to avoid dizziness.
Phantom Blade Zero will have “super complex and fast combos”, but it will be easy to execute them thanks to 2 command chains that players can customize, although he warned that it will not be icing on the cake, since doing it correctly will require skill and precise timing (dodging, counter).

Additionally, it was confirmed that Phantom Blade Zero will have a semi-open world developed on Unreal Engine 5.

Unfortunately, the concept of the game began planning in 2017, but formal development began in early 2022, so the release date is still a long way off.
