The enormous victory of the BBB caused a shift in the Senate. The coalition parties in the House of Representatives (VVD, D66, CDA and ChristenUnie) have lost heavily. They already did not have a majority in the Senate, but now they have even fewer seats. In order to get bills passed by the Upper House, there must therefore be even more cooperation with other parties. And because the BBB has won seventeen seats, the party can become a major obstacle for the coalition.
