Mainly known for making BMW engines for the F 750, 850 GS, F 900 R and RS families and the C 400 GT scooter, Locin is a motorcycle manufacturer that under the Voge brand offers a wide range of models ranging from road bikes to naked and adventure bikes.
The 500 family, which has become the flagship category for the brand, has received and is receiving both stylistic and mechanical updates, with the introduction of the updated and increased cubic capacity engine.
Among these stands out the naked Brivido 500R which receives a look with more modern and sharper lines while maintaining the 48 HP of the in-line twin-cylinder, now passed from 476 to 494 cc, so as to be able to fall within the limits imposed by the A2 license. It will be called Brivido 525R.
The chassis remains almost completely unchanged, with double front disc and single rear disc branded Nissin e monitored by Bosch ABS. The suspension compartment in the new version that we see in the photo sports a fork with gold anodized stems, but it will probably only be a matter of a different finish from the Kayaba unit present on the current 500. No news in sight also for the tank, which should remain 16.5 liters within the declared total weight of 198 kg in running order. Looking at the homologation data, we can confirm that the saddle will be lower, going from 80 cm to 77 cm from the ground, while the tire dimensions remain unchanged: 120/70-17 at the front and 160/60-17 at the rear.
