Apotheosis Valentino Rossi: the most heartfelt tribute arrives
On Friday 19 May, during the TavulliaVale event, the municipality of Tavullia will deliver the Keys of the City to Valentino Rossi: the last resolution came on Thursday evening from the municipal council.
“Valentino Rossi – is the incipit of the resolution – is a legend who will remain forever in the history of sport also for the spectacular rivalries born on the track that have contributed to making hundreds of millions of people passionate about the World Championship. But equally exceptional is the Valentino’s influence in mass culture so much that he can be considered one of the greatest icons of our time”.
“Qualities that are universally recognized to such an extent as to receive, in 2005, an honorary degree in Communication and Advertising for organizations from the Carlo Bo University of Urbino and, in 2010, the first Winning Italy Award for the contribution to the enhancement of image of Italy in the world by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The same ministry that in 2021, on the occasion of the Misano Grand Prix, presented him with the Made in Italy Icon award”.
“Before being a global phenomenon, it is an identifying element of this territory. A legend that in many extraordinary years of career and sporting achievements has made Tavullia and our community known throughout the world, promoting a municipality of just over 8 thousand inhabitants all over the planet. And the fact that he chose Tavullia as a place to live and where to establish the VR46 headquarters with the positive effects in economic terms that this entails is a source of pride”, explained the mayor Francesca Paolucci.
