American multinational transportation Uber reduced considerably their losses in the first quarter of the yearof five thousand 930 million dollars in the first three months of 2022 to 157 million in 2023thanks to the increase in their income.
Uber reported this Tuesday that its billing of January to March of this year grew and 29 %to eight thousand 823 million dollars, above what analysts expected.
The adjusted gross operating result, or ebitda, increased by 353% to stand at 761 million dollars.
The Uber figures indicate that much of the growth in the first quarter was the result of the improvement of the results of the Mobility unitthe one in charge of transporting passengers, whose income increased by 72%, going from two thousand 518 million dollars to four thousand 330 million.

At the same time, Delivery unit revenue increased 23% up to three thousand 093 million dollars and those of Freight fell 23% to $1.4 billion.
The trip number was increased significantly during the period, 24%, to two thousand 124 million.
Khosrowshahi, explained in a statement that in the future the company will will focus on expanding the advantages of its products, size and platform “to sustain both revenue and net profit growth leadership.”
For his part, the company’s financial director, Nelson Chai, said that expects an increase in the company’s profitability in the second quarter, period in which it expects to have an adjusted ebitda of between 800 and 850 million dollars.
