This Twente sous chef (24) represents the Netherlands in a cooking competition

Bas Jonker from Den Ham has been in the kitchen since he was fourteen years old, the last two years as sous chef. In October, the now 24-year-old will represent the Netherlands at the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs, an international cooking competition in Istanbul. There is no tension yet. “I’m pretty sober, we’ll see where the ship strands.”
