The Boogeyman, another of Stephen King’s books, will be adapted into a movie. With premiere on June 1, this has revealed the director.
Terror is once again one of the most notorious genres on the billboard in 2023. With the premiere of a new installment of Evil Dead, another Stephen King book will be adapted. Just as It, 1408, Carrie or The Shining have been brought to the screen, the same will happen with The Boogeyman.
Rob Savage, who will direct the film, has referred to his work at a press conference. Due to the closeness that the creative feels for the character, it is expected to be a truly terrifying adventure.
Hollywood stars Sophie Thatcher, David Dastmalchian and Chris Messina will be part of the Department. This is the first trailer:
“OK. Wow. I mean, I think what I really kept in mind is that we didn’t want people to walk out of the theater thinking, like, “I’ve seen the Boogeyman (The coconut). It’s not that scary.” Know? And obviously these guys had to fight the Bogeyman at the end, so we had to show it. And so we had to create a creature that felt like it left room for everyone’s personal interpretation of the creature that connected to the short story. The short story has a somewhat nightmarish ending, I won’t spoil it, but it does have a nightmare ending where a character is revealed to be the Boogeyman. I guess I just screwed up,” the developer said.

The Boogeyman, a legend of popular culture
On the other hand, already confessing his respect for King’s book, Savage opened up about the feelings he had to make a tape of the book. And it is that in addition to being a literary work, Boogeyman has already become a character in popular culture since 1978, the year it was written.
“So, we wanted to talk about it. And so the design was, like, create something that you could only glimpse in the shadows. You could only see these beady eyes looking out from the darkness. You know, for most of the movie, we just allowed it to fester in the audience’s mind. And then when you finally see the creature, we came up with this weird and disturbing design; where the creature is revealed with dimensions beyond what we see. So, there is still room for people’s own nightmares projected onto our creature. And yet we have this hideous design that our team created, that, you know, hopefully creates some new nightmares,” the filmmaker confessed.
The character is inspired by the popular belief of a dark being that takes over people at night. confusing the nightmares With reality, the monster has been used by parents around the world to warn their children not to sleep early.
