BARCELONA – This couple from Spain is brother of one father different mother. They just met when they were adults, fell in love, and even now have two children.
They wanted to get married, but civil law in Spain prohibits the marriage of couples who are related by blood.
Ana Parra was still a child when her father left her and her mother to start a new family.
Ana said her mother always told her her father had another child with another woman, but she didn’t meet her half-brother, Daniel, until she was 20.
Daniel said he also realized the potential that he had a half-brother, but said his father “wanted to hide” that part of his life.
The pair met when Ana tracked Daniel down on Facebook. What followed was forbidden love.
“We don’t want to realize it, we are angry with ourselves because it is difficult to admit and violate these taboos,” said Ana.
“We are brothers even though we don’t feel that way,” he said, as quoted by news.com.au, Tuesday (2/5/2023).
Ana says she and her partner were at a party together when the first sparks of romance flew.
