Activision Blizzard has been under the spotlight for years due to various harassment and discrimination scandals. The company promised to improve its work environment and paid a million-dollar fine to settle the matter earlier this year.
Bobby Kotick, head of the study, broke the silence and decided to speak openly on the subject, since he was previously accused of not acting despite knowing the company’s situation. In a recent interview, the manager denied the existence of systematic harassment and assured that it was all an attempt to destabilize the study.

Bobby Kotick is outraged by accusations of harassment at Activision Blizzard
In a chat with Variety, Kotick noted that they did various types of investigations and came to the conclusion that there was never any systematic harassment within Activision Blizzard. He emphasized that all the dubious cases and behaviors reported by the press simply did not exist.
Instead, he noted that Activision Blizzard was the victim of “a very aggressive labor movement” that wanted to “destabilize the company.” He added that the company has had a relatively low history of harassment complaints considering the size of Activision Blizzard.
As if that were not enough, he stated that he felt “humiliated and outraged” by everything that happened, since he considers it a damage to the company’s image that was done through “malicious distortions.” For that reason, he will not apologize on behalf of Activision Blizzard or the studio’s work culture.
He added that they have in their hands a huge database with evidence in this regard and that they will use it to combat the bad perception of the company.
“We have carried out all possible investigations. And we haven’t had any systemic bullying issues, ever. We didn’t have any of the mischaracterizations that were put out in the media.
“But what we did have was a very aggressive union movement working hard to try to destabilize the company (…) I would not be sitting here talking to you if something you read about the incendiary narrative was true,” said the manager.
Finally, he stated that if systematic harassment existed within Activision Blizzard, then the company’s board of directors would have already removed him from his position, which has not happened.
