If you have not decided to get a speaker with Alexa because this type of device is oriented towards home automation and voice control, but you neglect being able to play music from your own devices, Amazon has news for you. The new EchoPop It is just what you expected and, although it is not on sale, it has a fairly reasonable starting price of 54.99 euros with fast and free shipping.

The launch date of the new speaker with Amazon Alexa is scheduled for June 1, the day you will receive it at home if you already order. You will have it with free shipping included for 54.99 euros, although for now, without a discount.
Con four colors to choose from, (at least for now), the Echo Pop has been debuting a new hemispherical design with a small light bar integrated into the upper part, to warn about notifications and speaker status. It also offers all the good of the Dot, but adds some features that you were surely waiting for.
For physical control, it has three buttons on the back that will allow us to raise and lower the volume and disconnect the three highly sensitive microphones that integrates when we want privacy.
Among what remains the same, this new speaker will allow you to continue using Alexa as always; as a personal assistant. You will be able to control lights, air conditioning, the robot vacuum cleaner and much more with it, just by asking Alexa. You will also be able to take advantage of the skills that you already had programmed or add new ones and enjoy your favorite music through streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music itself.
But the name of the EchoPop already gives us a hint of the aspirations of this speaker and what changes: it wants to be a device more focused on improving our experience when listening to music. That is why the audio improves compared to the Echo Dot, with a Premium sound that, thanks to its 1.95″ speaker, is capable of offering Lossless HD music. It is therefore more suitable to take advantage of the quality of Apple Music, Tidal or Music Unlimited from Amazon itself.
On the other hand, in addition to the usual WiFi connectivity, this speaker adds Bluetooth to its features, (Amazon does not declare its version). With it we can finally connect our smartphone (or tablet, or laptop) and play our own music or the audio of our videos (without resorting to external streaming services).
Be careful, yes: it is still a wired speaker. It does not have a battery and needs to be connected to the electrical current, so it is not designed for us to take it where we want.
