CD Projekt has fired 29 employees who were working on The Molasses Flood and together with the US studio to the multiplayer spin-off of The Witcher codenamed Project Sirius.
By intervening on the columns of my city, a CD Projekt spokesman confirmed that 21 people were left without work in The Molasses Flood (out of a total of 43 employees) and 8 who worked in Poland. The layoffs are due to the decision to change the project in progress: “Due to the changes to the project, we also had to change the composition of the team, mainly on the side of The Molasses Flood.”
The Boston-based studio is continuing work on Project Sirius afterward the acquisition by CD Projekt which took place in 2021. The Witcher spin-off is the third video game developed by the US team, after The Flame in the Flood and Hollow Drake.
