This month The Little Mermaid, the new movie Live image based on one of Disney’s animated classics that is arousing interest and terror in equal measure among fans due to what has been shown so far about the project.

These changes will take place in the song “Kiss the Girl” (better known in these parts as “Kiss her”), which both Disney and its own director, Rob Marshall, consider that the parts of the song that encourage Prince Eric to kiss Ariel without first obtaining her consent are not appropriate today.
“We asked (lyricist) Lin-Manuel (Miranda) to make some small adjustments to the original lyrics of ‘Kiss the Girl.’ Because it’s important to remember that culture and sensibilities have changed in the last 34 years, and it’s vital that we be respectful of those changes,” Marshall said in a press release provided by Disney (via The Direct).
Apart from Halle Bailey In the role of Ariel, the remake of The Little Mermaid will feature Javier Bardem as King Triton, Melissa McCarthy as the evil Ursula and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, among others.
