At SONY they believe that it is a good time to restart the film Anaconda (1997) and they need first class actors.
There are many movies where a group of humans face a huge animal, but after the success of Megalodon (2018) where they combined this concept with a great star like Jason Statham, it may be repeated much more. Now, they want to copy the formula with a giant snake, which is why they’re doing the 1997 Anaconda reboot, and they’re trading Pedro Pascal and Paul Rudd. Two actors who are very fashionable in Hollywood.

What is the original movie about?
Anaconda is a horror and adventure film released in 1997, directed by Luis Llosa and starring an outstanding cast that includes Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight and Owen Wilson. The plot takes place in the Amazon jungle, where a group of documentarians embarks on an expedition that turns into a fight to survive against a huge and deadly snake.
The story begins with a film crew consisting of documentary filmmaker Terri Flores (Jennifer Lopez), cameraman Danny Rich (Ice Cube) and anthropologist Steven Cale (Eric Stoltz), who join a team of snake hunters led by by seasoned hunter Paul Sarone (Jon Voight).
Their mission is to film the mysterious town of the Blood Orchid, a lost tribe in the Amazon jungle. As they navigate the river, they rescue a man named Paul Sarone, whose boat is in disrepair. Sarone turns out to be a snake catcher and convinces the film crew to take him on board in search of a giant anaconda.
As the expedition progresses, they realize that Sarone has ulterior motives and her true goal is to capture the gigantic anaconda to sell on the black market. Tensions rise as the team faces various dangers in the jungle, including storms, deadly traps, and encounters with various wild creatures.
As the anaconda snake stalks the team members one by one, the group falls apart and they must fight for their lives.
Sarone reveals his true malevolent nature and becomes increasingly obsessed with capturing the anaconda. Over time, the remaining team realizes that the only way to survive is to face the snake directly.
In the climax of the film, the team fights the anaconda in a desperate battle as they try to escape the jungle. Using their wits and teamwork, they manage to defeat the anaconda and free themselves from Sarone’s clutches. Finally, the group manages to escape the jungle and return to civilization, having overcome the deadly dangers of the giant snake.
