Actress Ming-Na Wen plays Fennec Shand and reveals how she felt about not being in a Star Wars series.
Fennec Shand appeared briefly in the second season of The Mandalorian, then gained more prominence in The Book of Boba Fett series. Now Ming-Na Wen comments in an interview with TMD that she wanted to have seen her character in the third season of The Mandalorian but she was disappointed with Star Wars for missing that great battle. Something similar to what Temuera Morrison previously expressed.
“Sometimes when you take something out of context, it sounds worse than it is. I think we love our characters so much, that at any time we can repeat and be that character, especially someone like me, right? Fennec Shand is my dream role. So of course you will be disappointed. Like: Why didn’t they put my outfit on me and get into the battle with everyone? So I think that’s kind of a disappointment, but at the same time we both totally understand and respect Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni’s process and what they need to do in telling him. So it’s just… yeah, we’re greedy. am, I would love to be in every single Star Wars project right now from now on!”

When will Fennec Shand return?
Ming-Na Wen’s character is a warrior, mercenary, and bounty hunter who has worked for the biggest crime syndicates, including the Hutts. She was rescued by Boba Fetts and after that they created a union and have settled on Tatooine. So, if the Star Wars action happens on that gritty little planet, we’ll usually see them both again.
But for now, they have not confirmed a second season of The Book of Boba Fett, although there are plans to bring all these characters together in a single movie directed by Dave Filoni. So Ming-Na Wen will surely return to Star Wars.
