PURWOKERTO.SUARA.COM, KEBUMEN – A Daihatsu Zebra pickup truck caught fire on Jalan Meles, Gumawang Village, Kuwarasan District, Kebumen Regency, Saturday 27 May 2023 at 11.00 WIB.
The car with police number AA 1743 MM belongs to Mustolih (47), a resident of Kamulyan Village, Kuwarasan District, Kebumen Regency. There were no casualties in the incident but the vehicle was badly damaged.
“After noticing that there was a puff of smoke coming from the back of the car, the victim immediately pulled over and checked the source of the fire. However, soon the fire grew and scorched the entire vehicle,” said Kebumen Police Chief AKBP Burhanuddin via Kasihumas Police AKP Heru Sanyoto.
Based on the victim’s statement, the fire started from the car’s fuel tank. The victim also suspected that there was a problem with the engine while driving the car.

“According to information, the victim felt that his car’s engine was in trouble. Then not long after that a fire broke out,” he said.
Seeing that the fire was getting bigger, the victim and residents immediately put out the fire that had engulfed the entire body of the vehicle.
From the damage to the car, it is estimated that the victim suffered a material loss of Rp. 20 million as a result of the incident. ***
