Now, however, coach Leonardo Semplici has to think about the away match in Rome, with the fate of his youngsters no longer in his hands given the importance of tomorrow’s Verona-Empoli, with Spezia running the strong risk of being overtaken by the Venetians .
After Spezia-Torino 0-4, Semplici’s words: “I’m sorry, without a doubt. In such an important match for us, we weren’t able to put our values into practice. Torino fully deserved it, but after the 2- 0 we disappeared from the pitch and this shouldn’t have happened. The main fault is mine, I take my responsibilities, I failed to properly convey the importance of this crucial match. Football always leaves openings, now we have one and in Rome a final awaits us on the last day”.
The possible reasons for such a negative performance: “Matches like these are very tense, we felt the tension, sorry because until now the team had always shown that they approach matches with respect but also with the awareness of being able to achieve results with everyone. We didn’t play the game we wanted to play.”
Semplici again: “There is great displeasure, great anger, we didn’t want this type of performance. We praised Torino, as well as the skill of the grenades.
