Disney+ subscribers have gotten used to the fact that the platform has Star Wars as a space full of series. After the premieres of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett or Obi-Wan Kenobi, the series with the highest budget of all continues in production to surprise all viewers once it is released, in the case of Skeleton Crewthat today reveals its number of episodes.
Skeleton Crew will chronicle how a group of children lost across the galaxy try to find their way home in the New Republic era, framing Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. The protagonist of the series will be Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets) in an unknown role, being directed by Jon Wattsresponsible for the Spider-Man trilogy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who refused to direct The Fantastic 4 of the UCM to join this project that will have eight episodes.
As revealed by the Writers Union (WGAW), the first season of Skeleton Crew will have the same number of episodes as each season of The Mandalorian. In this way, it will have more chapters than Obi-Wan Kenobi (6 episodes) and less than The Book of Boba Fett (12 episodes). However, additional details of this promising series that will also feature Kerry Condon, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter and Robert Timothy Smith in its cast are unknown.
