Tomorrow morning at 10 he will talk about himself at the Anteo (free admission), ranging from his many successes as a talent scout to his regrets, such as Inter and the missed Scudetto with Roma
Born in 1955 but above all… infinite in seeing football talents: Walter Sabatini is the so-called talent scout, a lover of Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Pasolini as much as of the brilliant, unpredictable, unique play. He will be the protagonist tomorrow morning at the Milan Football week (10 am at the Anteo, free admission) While waiting to get back to looking for miracles after the one built in Salerno two seasons ago, Sabatini has always dedicated his career to football: first as a midfielder (Perugia, Varese , Rome and Vicenza among others) and then as discoverer-manager or sporting and technical director, 24 hours a day, always looking for the shot that would ignite the imagination of the team and the fans. From Salah (to Rome) to Pastore (Palermo), from Ilicic and Kolarov, to Alisson, Marquinos, Pjanic, Ederson or Arnautovic (brought back to Italy from China), Sabatini discovered, relaunched and gifted his clubs with intuitions that then transformed into advantageous sales and enhancements. After a very short career as a coach, Walter began as a manager with Lazio and then worked with Triestina, Arezzo, Perugia, Lazio again, Palermo, Rome, Inter (“My biggest regret, like not having won the Scudetto with Roma ”), Sampdoria, Bologna and Salernitana.
