After the official report and the ESA statement, as well as the confirmation of the absence of Nintendo at the event, we now bring more information for the E3 of this year 2023. Nintendo could be planning a standalone event like a Nintendo Direct.
The information focuses on its recent cancellation, confirmed and later explained in a statement. Now the rumor is that Nintendo will move away from the E3 dates, but it will organize its own event.

According to Kotaku’s Ethan Gach, Nintendo plans to have a “digital presentation” sometime this year. Although information on the exact timing is vague, given how close we are to the E3 season, it is likely that we will have a presentation very soon. The second part of the tweet mentions expecting more news in the “coming weeks and months.” Although it is not an official announcement, the source is reliable and the timing coincides with the time when E3 would have been held.
We will have to stay tuned to see if this presentation finally happens sooner or later with a Nintendo Direct.
