As planned, Xiaomi has just announced the launch of the new member of the Redmi Note 12 series. We are talking, of course, about the Redmi Note 12T Proa fairly ambitious mid-range device that has been presented (and put up for sale) in China and that, in the absence of knowing if and when it will arrive in Spain, we will learn more about it in the following paragraphs.
Xiaomi’s new Redmi Note 12T Pro stands out for incorporating a 144 Hz screen and the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra. Nor is it a terminal that is precisely short of RAM and internal storage, all for a price that starts, at direct exchange, from 210 euros. We will be waiting to update with the price in Spain when it is known. In the meantime, let’s see what else it offers.

Lots of Hz and lots of RAM
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12T Pro is an edge and flat screen terminal with a simple design. In the back we find nothing beyond the name of the brand and the camera module with two huge lenses on the left and a smaller one on the right. The available colors are, at least in China, black, white and pearl blue. It is also worth noting the side fingerprint reader, the typical Xiaomi infrared sensor and headphone jackwhich makes an appearance again despite being in danger of extinction.
For the front, Xiaomi has opted for a 6.6-inch LCD panel (not AMOLED) in 20.5: 9 format, so we are dealing with a rather long device. Its resolution is FullHD +, nothing new, although what is really striking is its 144 Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is compatible with several points, namely 30, 48, 50, 60, 90, 120 and 144 Hz, so that the refresh rate will adapt relatively easily to different types of content. It also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
Under the hood, the Chinese company has assembled a Dimensity 8200 Ultra from MediaTek, a SoC that reaches 3.1 GHz and is manufactured in a four-nanometer process. This incorporates a Mali-G610 GPU and a 580 APU and comes with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. At least on paper, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be short on power.
All this is given life by a battery of 5,080 mAh with 67W fast chargein addition to MIUI 14 running on a version of Android that, without having been confirmed by the company, can be expected to be Android 13. In terms of connectivity, WiFi 6, 5G on both SIM cards, NFC, USB type C and the already mentioned infrared sensor and minijack port.
Finally, it is worth talking about the cameras. The Redmi Note 12T Pro has a batch of sensors already known to all, namely a 64 megapixel main sensor, a wide angle of eight megapixels and a macro of two. As far as video is concerned, the highest quality offered is 4K at 30 FPS, but not 60. The front camera, hidden in a hole in the screen, stays at 16 megapixels with the ability to record up to FullHD at 60 FPS .
