Real Madrid, all the Champions nightmares from Da Luz to the Etihad

A stain in glorious white history. Not indelible perhaps, but certainly difficult to erase, especially for those in the Champions League who are used to almost always being the boss. Before the hand, the 4-0 with which City snatched the pass for the final in Istanbul rightfully enters the top 5 of the worst defeats suffered by Real Madrid in the history of the tournament which they have won 14 times. Longtime Merengue fans remember many sensational slip-ups, even the most unthinkable like the 4-1 conceded in the round of 16 in 1975 against Derby County (however overturned by a 5-1 in the second leg), or the 4-1 suffered in Dortmund in 2013 under the blows of hurricane Lewandowski (author of a poker). But few other “slaps” have been more painful than the one received at the Etihad. The absolute worst remains the one collected at San Siro 24 years ago…
