President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited the chairmen of the six coalition political parties supporting the government to the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/5/2023) evening. The meeting was held behind closed doors.
The general chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, who was also present, said that the meeting also discussed the 2024 presidential election.
Jokowi, said Prabowo, wants the 2024 election to take place in a cool and happy atmosphere.
“In conclusion we have to create a good atmosphere, a cool atmosphere that elections, democratic parties, the people must be cool, calm, must be happy,” said Prabowo at the Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Bantul, DIY, Wednesday (3/5/2023) .

“Whoever our people choose must unite, we must support it,” he added.
President Jokowi, continued Prabowo, also reminded high-ranking political parties that it is possible for Indonesia to become a developed country if its leaders are harmonious and unified.
More than that, said Prabowo, if the existing resources can be managed properly, Indonesia can become the fourth largest economy in the world.
“We are now in a position where it is very possible that if we are good at managing, if we get along well, if the leaders are united we can become a very developed country, a prosperous country. We can become the fourth largest economy in the world, he reminded us,” said Prabowo. .

The meeting which took place behind closed doors at 19.00 WIB was attended by Prabowo, Chairperson of the PDI Perjuangan Megawati Soekarnoputri, Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto.
Then the General Chair of PAN Zulkifli Hasan, Plt General Chair of PPP Mardiono, and General Chair of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar.
