The idea of playing a video game is for many a search for entertainment, which can serve as an escape route from the daily routine, where fans can find adventures that (in the vast majority of cases) they will never be able to experience in real life. . Especially in massively multiplayer online role-playing video games or MMORPGs (for its acronym in English), such as Elder Scrolls Online where users can create a character under the fantastic lore of the saga and thus live amazing adventures.
Something that a player with the nickname Sleeps-On-Bridges (something like “Sleeps on bridges” in English) clearly does not do, since he connects to this game every night to do exactly what his nickname indicates, go to a bridge located in Alinor, between the fast travel wayshrine and the crowded crafting stations, to sleep in it. Gamer who has a black and white speckled Argonian character, who has been mentioned in several Reddit posts, prompting PC Gamer’s Lauren Morton to go looking for him in-game, in what feels like a small line between journalism and bullying.

Something she did for four nights hiding on the edge of the bridge, watching other players sleep next to Sleeps-On-Bridges, others who played music for her, and others who stopped to laugh and clap. Actions to which most of the time, Sleeps-On-Bridges did not respond by remaining immobile on the ground, although on a few occasions, he would stand up to return the greeting, join in the music playing, or taunt the NPC guards of the city.
Player whom he later contacted and knowing that the sleepyhead had inadvertently started a new guild called Bridge Sleepers, which he joined. According to his account, the original plan was to just run a silly little experiment over a weekend, just to see if players would notice, saying that “if I could make a couple of people laugh, it would have been worth it.”
“Throughout that weekend I was amazed at how many people stopped by and interacted, whether it was a simple comment as they walked by or joining me in my sleep.”
And months later, Sleeps-On-Bridges is seen almost as a legendary NPC from the city of Alinor, ceasing to be a quick experiment by far thanks to the ESO community, since according to Sleeps: “although I created the character Sleeps-On -Bridges, I feel like it was the ESO community that really developed it.”
“This may sound corny, but the greatest gift I’ve received is appreciation from other players for this character. It gives me a really unique feeling of mutual recognition. I’ve been in love with The Elder Scrolls since I first played Morrowind in 2003 , and the amount of love people are showing Sleeps makes me feel like it’s my genuine tribute to Elder Scrolls and its incredible fan base.”

A story that we love to read and hear, that although with an act as simple and perhaps even ridiculous as just connecting to sleep, it has created a story that will surely become a legend within the ESO community and I know that if you are player of this game, it will make you go find him and maybe join his guild of sleepyheads.
