The orca Gladis has taken over social media over the unusual news that a group of orcas regularly attack boats in the Strait of Gibraltar, between Europe and Africa.
Since May 2020, at least three boats have been sunk by orcas, those that are presumed to be commanded by a matriarch who is “taking revenge” against humans, for a traumatic experience from the past. This whale has been given the name “Gladis”, and it conquered the internet.
