Several large residential towers with a total of 530 homes had to be built, but the ‘prestige project’ Kop van de Boulevard in the heart of Enschede is now a skating rink. The construction plan, which cost 150 million euros, was canceled last autumn. The vacant lot, near Holland Casino and the MST hospital, is now being temporarily filled with a skate park.
