Netflix has announced a Masters of the Universe bombshell. The star of the 1987 film, Meg Foster, is set to return to the He-Man franchise in the upcoming animated series titled Revolution. An unexpected surprise, but very well received by all lovers of the saga. We are in luck!
As reported by Collider, Meg Foster has joined the voice cast of Masters of the Universe: Revolution, an animated series that will premiere on Netflix during 2024. Meg Foster will play Motherboard, the ancient sorceress of technology. Previously, the He-Man movie star played the villainous Evil-Lyn. A movie that starred Dolph Lundgren in the lead role. Now, the streaming platform recovers the legendary actress to give voice to Motherboard.
What can we expect from ‘Revolution’ streaming?
Masters of the Universe: Revolution is the sequel to Revelation, which premiered on Netflix in 2021 as a sequel to the original He-Man animated series from the 1980s. The upcoming Revolution series has been billed as an “all-new story, focusing on He-Man vs. Skeletor like you’ve never seen him before. Technology meets magic as He-Man and heroic warriors face off against the forces of Skeletor and a deadly threat to the Planet in Revolution, the next epic chapter in the battle for Eternia.”
Revelation featured a star-studded voice cast including Chris Wood as Prince Adam/He-Man, Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, and Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, among many others. Meg Foster is one of the new additions to Masters of the Universe on Netflix. The sequel has also signed Melissa Benoist, the protagonist of the Supergirl series, for the role of Teela. Additionally, veteran Star Trek legend William Shatner has been cast in an undisclosed role.
