In the province of Overijssel there are already more than fifteen locations where the natural water is contaminated with clouds of the exotic aquatic plant, including the Overijssel fighting. In Gelderland, Zeeland and North Brabant there are many more growth places. Intervention and control of the plant is necessary to prevent further spread and nuisance, according to the VBNE.
