Natalie Portman affirms that she would have no problem returning to Star Wars 18 years after her last appearance in the franchise, although no one has asked her to return so far.
Ever since Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen they were back in the series Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi, there have been many fans who have wondered if they will see Natalie Portman again in the galactic franchise, actress who played Padme Amidala in George Lucas’ prequel trilogy.
Although there is even a desire from the actress herself, Portman affirms that since her last appearance in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith No one has ever asked him to return to Star Wars.
“I have no information about this. No one has ever asked me to come back, but I’m open to it,” Natalie Portman revealed in an interview with GQ magazine.

Will we see Natalie Portman again in Star Wars?
With new franchise projects announced, there is always the possibility that a new movie or series focused on Padme Amidala’s stage will be made and we can see Natalie Portman play one of her most popular characters again.
However, as the actress rightly pointed out, At the moment there seems to be no interest in Lucasfilm in recovering the character albeit in a flashback with Hayden Christensen, something that would certainly excite fans.
However, technically Natalie Portman did have a proposal to return to Star Wars by Taika Waititi for the film she will make of the franchise, although It seems that the director did not realize that the actress was already part of Star Wars, and with an important character as well.
“He says he forgot because he asked me if I wanted to be in a movie from Star Wars and I told him, ‘I was’. I thought she was joking. He’s so joking I thought it was a joke. And then she said in an interview that she was kind of embarrassed afterwards,” the actress told the outlet.
