MotoGp, Alex Marquez spies the Mir-Honda crisis
Alex Marquez in an interview with Speedweek said he understood the difficulties Joan Mir is going through in his first season in Honda. The youngest of the Marquez brothers spent three nightmare seasons in the Japanese team before moving to Ducati: “You never knew what would happen when you opened the throttle. And this is the perfect way to lose confidence,” recalled Alex Marquez.
“I spoke to Mir in Austin and that’s what he feels too. With Honda, you never know what’s going to happen, he told me, and I fully agree. It’s been a difficult three years for me, especially the last two: but I’ve learned a lot and I improved as a rider. I got along very well with the Repsol team, but I lacked continuity. Then from 2020 I felt a little forgotten by Honda and I started from scratch”.
