With a brief press release, the Sag Racing team communicated the interruption of the working relationship with the Tuscan driver Lorenzo Dalla Porta, Moto3 world champion in 2019.
“The Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team and the Italian rider Lorenzo Dalla Porta took the mutual decision to get different roads from now”.
“The team expresses a sincere thanks to Dalla Porta for the commitment and dedication shown from the start of the season to today. This was a decision carefully thoughtful and difficult, given the positive nature of Lorenzo Dalla Porta. We are confident that this determination will benefit both parties. The Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team wishes Dalla Porta every success in his future racing career.”
Thus ends the Dalla Porta championship. The rider born in Prato in 1997 was world champion in 2019 with 11 podiums and 4 victories. Then there was the move to Moto2 which never saw him really competitive.
