Suara.com – Minister of Religion (Menag) H. Yaqut Cholil Qoumas confirmed the management of the Central Mosque Welfare Agency (BKM) for the 2022-2026 period.
“I am the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia as the Trustee of the Central BKM Management by officially inaugurating the central BKM management for the 2022-2026 period,” said the Minister of Religion in writing Friday (5/5/2023).
The Minister of Religion believes that the management of the Central BKM is able to carry out their duties as well as possible, according to the responsibilities given in order to realize the vision and mission of the organization,
“And to create prosperous and powerful mosques for the welfare and progress of Indonesia,” said the Minister of Religion.

The Minister of Religion also stated that mosques have many functions in religious and national life. The Minister of Religion said that at least the mosque has two functions, one of which is as a place of worship, then a social function.
“The BKM that was inaugurated today must really bring benefits not only to Muslims, of course Muslims are the main and priority thing but bring benefits to the communities around the mosque,” said the Minister of Religion.
The Minister of Religion invited all levels of society to protect the mosque from negative things, and to participate in the prosperity of the mosque.
“Make the mosque a common home where many people who have the will and commitment to empower and promote the mosque take shelter. Invite and involve many people, many elements in this institution. The more potential is woven, the greater the opportunity for empowerment to be carried out,” said the Minister of Religion.
Meanwhile, the Central BKM Advisory Council, KH Anwar Iskandar, said the importance of brotherhood among religious people and the state, as well as the importance of humanizing humans.

KH Anwar also invited all elements of society to remind each other in good terms for the sake of national unity.
“How can this mosque become a place for the congregation to understand the awareness of nation and state,” said KH Anwar who is also Deputy Rais Aam of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU).
This event is called Relaunching BKM and Inauguration of the Central BKM Management for the 2022-2025 Period. With the theme ‘From the Mosque, We Prosper Indonesia’.
Attended by coaches to field members, Heads of Regional Offices of the Ministry of Religion from 34 provinces, Heads of Explanation, Head of the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) Nur Ahmad Baznas, Kadisbintalad Brigadier General TNI Nur Salam, and a number of other figures.
