A new Metal Gear Solid board game will arrive at our homes, although it does so with a bit of a delay, specifically five years since it was supposed to come out, now it’s real. CMON has announced that Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game pre-orders are now available.the game should have arrived in 2019, but after a while without much news… Now it will be available to everyone.
This board game is designed by Emerson Matsuuchi of Nazca Games. It was initially canceled in 2020 after several delays, however, there is nothing to fear anymore. Like the video game, Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game will also be based on stealth. Players will be able to choose one of four main characters with different abilities: Solid Snake, Meryl Silverburgh, Gray Fox and Hal Emmerich.

This game will have six independent missions and of course, it also includes a campaign of 14 missions that will allow the permanent unlocking of new items that can be added to the inventory. In addition to all this content, those who pre-order the Full Edition of the game will also receive a graphic novel that narrates the campaign in comic form and a 13cm tall Metal Gear REX miniature.
As you can see, it seems that this new Metal Gear Solid board game will come with quite a lot of content, players will be able to discover the story in the form of a comic thanks to the graphic novel and spend hours playing with all the missions that it will offer us. Quite a success, especially considering that this announcement is made just after Konami announced the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
While it is true that there is still no release date for the video game, this remake, called Metal Gear Solid Delta is the first Metal Gear Solid game in almost a decade. We have no doubt that fans of the franchise will be really excited to be able to delve back into what this saga is going to offer us. Not only with the video game, but now also with Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game.
Pre-orders for this board game are now available on the CMON website, the full version will be priced at $100 plus shipping. Of course, a cheaper edition will also go on sale, although of course, it will not have the graphic novel or the REX miniature.
