Metal Gear Solid fans are partying with Konami finally revealing the much-rumored remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, going by the name of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, for Xbox Series X / S, PS5 and PC. Co-developed by Konami and Virtuos, it will be a “faithful recreation” with “evolved” gameplay.
While no release date has been confirmed, the publisher has also unveiled Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, which is set to release this fall. Features the original Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater games in one collection.
Lest there be any concerns that it would only be available digitally, Konami UK confirmed on Twitter: “There will be physical and DL versions of the collection available.” Of course, it remains to be seen how much the collection will cost and which of the “latest platforms” it will launch on.
It’s good news, though, for those who want to own physical versions of the classics without potentially dropping a bombshell on the original PS One/PS2-era discs.
Will there be a physical version?
