Just a week ago the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which will present a new version of the original game from 2004 through the same story and the same original world, although with modern graphics and 3D audio. However, one of the biggest doubts around the title has now been resolved: the remake will reuse the dubbing of the original work.
When announcing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Konami teased that the game “will star the original voice actorsa rich story and expansive combat survival features in hostile environments evolved with unprecedented graphics and surround sound” in its description, which raised the question of whether they were not planning to change dialogues or add some additional ones.
Now, Tommy Williams, Konami’s head of communications in North America, has confirmed to The Verge that the new version of Metal Gear Solid 3 will reuse the dubbing of the original game without changes. In this way, it is not expected that the original voice actors will be called to record new dialogues, although this could happen if plans change during the development of the title, which is also in the hands of Virtuos.
A promising remake
Despite having decided to keep the original voice lines, the truth is that Konami has stated that the development team is working hard in order to create a remake to match.while players will be able to enjoy earlier ports of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, whose first volume will feature Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid (including special missions), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection) and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection).
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC on a date to be determined, having also confirmed if Kojima is involved in the project.
