Marvel’s Spider-Man managed to become, from the beginning, one of the best PS4 games, and that is that Insomniac Games ended up giving us a very well-rounded title, and that a large number of users fell in love with at the time. After the launch of Miles Morales as a launch video game for the PlayStation 5, many users find ourselves waiting for the arrival of the second numbered installment of this sagaof which we were able to see a new trailer a little while ago at the PlayStation Showcase, although in this case we were finally able to see gameplay.
We could already guess this as soon as we knew that Venom would appear in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but it is in this gameplay where we could verify that Peter Parker will wear the classic Venom suitwhich in addition to giving its bearer improved abilities, usually affects the mind of the person who uses it, something that we could already see in this aforementioned trailer, in which the character’s change compared to previous games is noticeable.
Now we have been able to know, thanks to Comic Book, of an interview given by Yuri Lowenthal to The Direct, the voice actor for Peter Parker in this game, in which he talks about how he has prepared for this role. Specifically, he mentions the following, making it clear that what Peter has is an addiction to the symbiote suit:
We observe addiction in people and what are the behaviors of addicts. That’s really where we go for inspiration and to find the levels.
In addition to this, this renowned actor in English dubbing relates this performance that he has done for Peter Parker with another of his most remembered characters, Sasuke from the Naruto franchise:
I think we all have (that anger inside). Sometimes it’s just… it’s harder to access or easier to access, you know, depending on how close to the surface you are… Before I started doing Sasuke, I had only played brave young heroes who didn’t have nothing bad.
