The comparisons are hateful, but it is inevitable to do it with MODOK and Darth Vader, since Marvel copied Star Wars, with more than questionable results.
The movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) is one of the least successful Marvel Studios installments, since it has only raised 476 million dollars. One of the biggest complaints from fans is how poorly made MODOK is, but it turns out it’s an attempted copy of Darth Vader.
The demo is brought to us by a Reddit user named TrpTrp26, who has pieced together scenes from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Star Wars. So putting MODOK and Darth Vader face to face shows that they tried to do something similar.
Marvel MODOK vs Darth Vader
What do you think? Leave us your comments below in the opinion section. The director himself, Peyton Reed, revealed that they tried to give Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania a tone similar to Star Wars, since he is a big fan. But with MODOK, I think Marvel has gone a bit too far.
Will both return to the cinema?
In Ant-Man (2015) Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) debuted as the first great villain of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), but since then we had not seen him again, until Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania where we discovered that Kang did he has become MODOK and attacks the heroes until he reveals himself and dies from it. So he probably won’t return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While Darth Vader is a legendary Star Wars character who has returned in the Kenobi series. Now, they want him to have more interventions in the movie New Jedi Order (2027). But we won’t see him in the black mask, instead it will be Hayden Christensen again as the force ghost of Anakin Skywalker.
While we wait to find out what plans Marvel and Star Wars have, you can review all the installments of both franchises on the Disney Plus streaming platform.
