Marvel has been inspired by The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Or, more specifically, in one of the stars that appears in the fantasy series. In statements to Variety, the actor Ismael Cruz Córdova, who plays the elf Arondir in fiction, revealed that he has a “very good relationship” with the casting directors of the UCM. He also pointed out that the study chaired by Kevin Feige has already contacted him for different projects. An interpretive inspiration that the superhero universe seems to like.
Curiously, The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power actor has confirmed he was in the running to play Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But Will Poulter got the part instead, eventually. “I really wanted to play that role,” Ismael Cruz Córdova said of the character of Adam Warlock at Marvel Studios. “But Will Poulter is amazing, so I don’t get mad. It’s a shame, because I love that whole story.” The truth is that Will Poulter amazed all viewers with the characterization of him as Adam Warlock. And he has a great future ahead of him in the MCU.
