In a preview of the new miniseries to be published by Marvel Comics, Cult of Carnage: Misery, Alchemax Labs links a variety of the Carnage symbiote with a chimpanzee and the result of the combination could be surprising indeed. Cult of Carnage: Misery #1 It has been realized by the writer Sabir Pirzada and the artist Francesco Mortarino. In a preview provided by the publisher itself, Liz Allan is at Alchemax Labs and listens to a scientist talk to her about a strain of the Carnage symbiote that the company owns and has been experimenting with. Liz is then shown a chimpanzee, who has been named Grace, whom Alchemax joined with the symbiote Carnage.

The idea that Alchemax want to pair a chimpanzee with Carnage stems from a desire to fuse the symbiote with a strain of the Anti-Venom symbiote. Alchemax tries to do it in the comic Cult of Carnage: Miserybut this curious experiment seems to seriously harm the chimpanzee. The scientist confirms that Grace is not dead after the failed attempt and hints that a different, stronger host could successfully merge the two strains.
