Marc Marquez gives the ultimatum: background of Jorge Lorenzo
Former MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo commented in very clear terms on the situation Marc Marquez is experiencing at Honda. According to the Majorcan centaur, the number 93 gave the Japanese manufacturer a real ultimatum. “With Márquez they have won many world championships, for his talent, his attitude, for his physical condition…because he is an incredible rider. But, on the other hand, he is a very special rider, who needs very specific characteristics on the bike,” said Lorenzo in an interview with Dorna.
“They have completely followed Marc Márquez’s path; and it seems that Marc Márquez’s path is only suitable for Marc Márquez. And for the rest of the riders it becomes very difficult to get results. The Honda is a bike with which only Marc can win championships It seems that the love story between Marc and Honda is not the same, something has changed. Probably because Marc was used to winning almost every year with Honda.”
